World Championship Cadet in Nieuwpoort finished as second (promo fleet)In summer I sailed the World Championship Cadet in our home club WSKLuM in Nieuwpoort (Belgium). It was a wonderful event and a lovely experience. Our old wooden cadet was pushed to her limits and we managed to claim the second place in the promotional fleet.

First Foiling experience in the WASZPI did a first WASZP training in Zeeland (The Netherlands). It was a very interesting experience to get on the foil for the first time. The conditions were a bit though and I was in the water most of the time:). The feeling was good and definitely an interesting start in the foiling world.
I hope to see the class growing and it would be lovely to train a bit more often in our home area. https://waszp.com/ |

World Championship & Nieuwpoortweek final races in Opti. The World Championship Optimist in Spain (Costa Brava) & the Nieuwpoortweek were my final races in the Opti. It's nice looking back to these two wonderful events and the strong results achieved on both. On the worlds I qualified for the silver fleet and in Nieuwpoort I finished top 5.
A wonderful period came to an end, full focus now on the 29er. |

Participated in the 29er Eurocup at Lake GardaI participated together with Janne Ravelingien in our first EuroCup in the 29er at Lake Garda.
We managed to sail in the first half of the fleet and competed in the Gold fleet during the finals. We are still struggling with stronger wind conditions, but we're definitely improving our skills and teamwork. Check the wonderful pictures and video in the Gallery! |

Participated in the 29er National British Championship 2022I participated together with Janne Ravelingien in the 29er British Nationals (Torquay) for my first race in a 29er skiff. Before going to the UK we only trained together for about 6 days so we had nothing to lose.
We managed to sail 17 / 43 and claimed the price for First Overseas Team. As we are hungry for more we'll consider this a starting point for something new. |

World Championship Optimist 2022 has endedThe World Championship Optimist in Bodrum - Turkey was my finest sailing experience so far. Sailing with the best sailors in the world was tough, but definitely worth the trip.
After 6 qualifying races I was slightly disappointed to end up in the Emerald fleet. Afterwards I managed to fight back and sailed 4 top 10 results during the finals in the emerald fleet. |

First 29er Training in OstendI was invited by the Belgian 29er Class and Team BEL 2554 of Elias & Miguel and got the opportunity to join them for my first 29er training. It was a wonderful experience and I will definitely come back for more during the summer.
The difference with my optimist is huge, but I loved every second of it, even the swimming part:). |
